The Mary's Harvest and Sierra project team celebrated with a golden shovel photo as the project broke ground last week. The 130,000 square foot Portland Portal Industrial Center is being built for Portland based Mary's Harvest, located at 172nd Pl and Sandy Blvd in Portland. It will replace Mary's existing 45,000 square foot facility. The completed building will have a 30' clear height and 27 dock doors. This project is due for completion later this year.
Sitework began last week for Sierra Construction’s new 13,000 square foot office building on the City’s last office-zoned property. This project consists of two, four story of wood framed apartment buildings built on slab with at grade parking. The team began sitework for this project December 2017. Portside 55 North is just over 200,000 square feet of industrial development on 10.5 acres, less than 1 mile from the marine terminals in the Port of Tacoma. The project team at Prologis’ Georgetown Crossroads took a moment to celebrate on Tuesday, as the structural steel erection on the main, three-story section of the fulfillment center had been completed.Coastal Steel began the steel erection process in December of 2017, and was completed on March 6th. Approximately 5,000 tons of structural steel was used in the three-story building. Sierra has begun construction on a four story, mixed-use commercial building in Ballard, Washington. Avenue 55 is developing the new 71,460 square foot light industrial/flex space project. The space is divisible down to 4,000-8,5000 square feet. The project will feature a central freight elevator with clear heights of 20' per floor, and also includes parking for 46 vehicles. This project is due for completion at the end of 2018.

Sitework began last year on this 135,387 square foot tilt-up commerce center on 7.5 acres in Gresham, Oregon. ‘Big Eddy’ has a 30′ clear height, 30 dock doors and 5 grade level doors with a 6″ slab. Located within in the Airport Way submarket the project is a part of a 230-acre master-planned business park development. This project was completed at the end of 2017.
Drivers traveling down E Marginal Way now have a different kind of view of Prologis' Georgetown Crossroads construction site, as the team completed the tilt-up portion of construction this week.The tilt included erecting 86 concrete panels, with the heaviest weighing in at 210,000lbs. Sierra Construction recently tilted the first of two buildings at the Des Moines Creek Business Park IV. In honor of Veterans Day, we would like to feature two of our Veteran employees. Alex Higdon is a Journeyman Carpenter here at Sierra. He was a part of the Marine Corp 9th Communications Battalion with 4 years of service. Alex completed two tours; Iraq from '08-'09 and Afghanistan '09-'10. Project Piper's first tilt phase was completed at the end of September. 66 panels, and included the smallest panel in the building, at only 54' tall and 73,340lbs. (yes, only) Breaking ground spring of 2017, Project Piper will be a 857,000 square foot distribution center to occupy three previously vacant lots in the Troutdale Reynolds Industrial Park. Sierra completed Dermody Properties' LogistiCenter I5 late this summer. Built on a 13 acre site in Lakewood, Washington, the 210,700 square foot concrete tilt-up industrial facility is just minutes from I5. The completed project features a 30' clear height, 4 grade doors, 22 dock doors, 147 car stalls and 130' truck maneuvering. This project is also a finalist for NAIOP's 2017 Night of the Stars event. Sierra broke ground on the 50,000 square foot concrete tilt-up industrial warehouse in August. The 3 acre site sits just east of the Port of Tacoma.
The third building in the 80 acre Prologis Park Tacoma, Building D is a 317,000 square feet concrete tilt-up project with over 60 dock high doors. The scope of work includes limited sitework. Sierra Construction is also currently completing Building B, a 770,000 square foot triple-loaded distribution building. This project is due for completion Q2 2018.
This brand new construction warehouse allows for custom office, manufacturing, assembly and warehouse layout. Raised with concrete tilt-up panels, this 44,072 square foot building is a single story with a 22’ clear height. The building has 11 dock high and 4 grade level doors, with 50’x50 column spacing. High efficiency provides lower occupancy costs, adapting to modern day needs of flexible business park use.
This project resulted in a new office, warehouse and storage space for Tradesmen Electric company in Battle Ground, Washington.
