Safeway has opened a lifestyle shopping center in the Canyon Park area of Bothell. Property Development Centers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Safeway Inc., developed the project. Freight & Ho was the project architect, and Sierra Construction was the general contractor. PDC is a national developer of Safeway-anchored centers. NAIOP named Vulcan Real Estate the region's developer of the year Friday. It was the second year in a row Vulcan won the title. Kenmore's new KeyBank opened its doors Aug. 29 at 7830 N.E. Bothell Way. The 3,900-square-foot branch is Key's 164 retail location in Washington and features a video wall with eight flat-screen televisions to display helpful information to clients, and Teller 21 systems to speed the processing of client paperwork. Sierra Construction Co. is building a project for Property Development Centers, a subsidiary of Safeway Inc., in Bothell's Canyon Park that will have a 50,475 square foot Safeway and 39,000 square feet of other retail space. Sierra Construction is working toward a late summer finish on a new KeyBank branch at 7830 NE Bothell Way in Kenmore. The 3,900 square foot metal-stud building will have a brick veneer exterior. The project involved the construction of a new 53,000 sf dealership to replace an existing new car sales building. The new facility includes showrooms for both Toyota and Scion, a 3-lane service drive up, a 3 bay quick-lube pit, a 25-bay service facility with in-ground lifts, a 9,000 square foot parts storage area on two floors, administrative and dealer office and conference/training areas.
