Monday held the ceremonial groundbreaking for Highline Place – Phase 1 in Des Moines, Washington.
The finished project will feature 160-bed, state of the art student housing units for Highline College, and over 12,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. Each unit will have kitchens and living areas, and residents will have access to a large rooftop community room and deck. Looking towards the future, the location will also provide easy access to the future light rail system.
Highline College is in charge of Student Housing leasing, and Montoure Real Estate Corporation is managing the ground floor retail space.

At the completion of Phase 1, due next Fall, construction will begin on Phase 2 for 240 market-rate apartments.
