Project Completion: Hogum Bay Logistics Center

Project teams in Lacey, Washington recently completed a two-phase, 1.1 million square foot state-of-the-art industrial development for IDS Real Estate Group..

Located in the Hawks Prairie area of Lacey, the Hogum Bay Logistics Center is a new development which included three buildings, totaling 1,110,000 square feet.

The first phase of the project included site clearing and the construction of Building 1, a 811,000 square foot distribution center on 100 acres. The building has 80 dock doors, 250 parking spaces, 36’ clear height, and capable of expanding an additional 200,000 square feet. The scope of work also included a 28,100 square foot office build-out. The warehouse was constructed with insulated concrete tilt-panels, with a total thickness of 14 ½”. Building 1 was a build-to-suit for a private tenant.

The second phase included the construction of two speculative industrial buildings; Building 4 (144,000 square feet) and Building 5 (155,000 square feet). Both buildings have a 32’ clear height and 130’ truck courts. Sierra Construction is presently completing tenant improvements in Building 4.
