Spotlight: Nolan Vella

Vella-Nolan

Nolan started at Sierra after graduating from University of Washington fall 2012. His first project was the Prologis Distribution Center in Fife. After that he has worked on various projects including Audi Seattle and Des Moines Creek Business Park Phase 3. Nolan is now currently wrapping up Seaway West in Everett. He says his dream project location would have to be somewhere in West Seattle next to a brewery. "I live in West Seattle and I do enjoy the occasional beer."

How do you spend your weekends? I spend most of my free time in the summer riding my bikes in Whistler. I mostly ride downhill but you’ll find me pedaling from time to time if I don’t have a lift to take me to the top. During the winter you can usually find me at the Snorting Elk at Crystal Mountain. Sometimes I actually ski. I travel as much as possible.

What is one thing you couldn't live without? My dog, my truck, my bikes, Hornitos, and my fiancé. In no particular order.

Where is your favorite place to visit? Malta and Whistler but I love travelling to new places.

What is the best book you have ever read? I just finished Shantaram and would recommend it to just about anyone.

What is your dream car? Sierra fleet car.

What is your favorite type of food? I like everything.
