New Intern: David Usher

David Usher

Intern David Usher was born and raised in Missouri before beginning his time at the University of Washington. Currently a Junior studying Civil Engineering, he chose Sierra for the "family feeling" as well as our list of projects in progress.

"I joined the US Navy out of high school and worked on nuclear reactors onboard aircraft carriers. I started a remodel/handyman business while in school after the Navy and have also had an internship as a Field Engineer with Snohomish County last summer."

"I have a passion for real estate and grew up with my father doing construction and me tagging along. I love seeing places that were once useless or forgotten because beautiful new structures that will serve our community for decades to come."

How do you spend your freetime?
I enjoy powerlifting, woodworking, playing with my dog, and building PCs.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you. 
I lived in Japan for four years (from 21-26)

What is your favorite fruit? 
My favorite is watermelon. It is also my least favorite because I am allergic to it. 

Top three life highlights:
Snowboarding in Niseko, Japan
Birth of my nephew, Alexander
Being able to eat cake whenever I want as an adult.

What is the best advice you've ever head? 
Never put off until tomorrow the things you can do today.
