Sierra building Safeway project in Bothell

Sierra Construction Co. is building a project for Property Development Centers, a subsidiary of Safeway Inc., in Bothell’s Canyon Park that will have a 50,475 square foot Safeway and 39,000 square feet of other retail space.

Lakeside at Canyon Park is made of integral color split-face CMU, stone masonry and EIFS. THe Safeway will have a bakery; meat, deli and seafood departments; and a Starbucks.

The six retail buildings will be a mix of split-face CMU, cultured stone, brick, stucco and aluminum storefront, and could be configured to provide up to 24 tenant spaces. Four buildings are designed for restaurants and two could have drive-thru service.

Site lighting, landscaping, a pedestrian plaza and new traffic signals are also included in the project.

Construction should be done in September.
