Project Completion: CarMax Lynnwood

PC Carmax

Puget Sound’s first CarMax stores opened in March. Sierra Construction was the general contractor for CarMax Store No. 7250 in Lynnwood.

Carmax-8645

The 9 acre Lynnwood site was previously home to Detroit Autoworks and originally a Safeway, which was demolished in 2014. The site has been vacant parking lot since, well known due to the unique palm trees that lined 99. Site clearing began in July 2016 for the new dealership.

The completed project has 400 sales display parking stalls, 180 parking stalls for customers and employees, a car wash and a 20,000 square foot sales and service building.

Sierra’s project team included:
Kirk MacGowan, Senior Project Manager
Travis Torgerson, Project Manager
Sam McVey, Project Engineer
John Dahlman, Superintendent
