Sierra Construction this week was expected to start work on a 47,000 square-foot tilt-up warehouse at 7010 150th St. S.W. in Lakewood for Olympic Moving and Storage.

Olympic will occupy about half of the building and lease out the remaining space. About 3,000 square feet of Olympic’s space will be used for offices. There will also be a storage mezzanine.

James Guerrero Architects designed the building with raised parapets to emphasize each tenant’s entry. The building will also have recessed storefronts, reveal strips, paint accents and roofline cornices. A panelized wood roof structure will be topped with single-ply roofing.

A future phase will include another similar sized building on the southern half of the site.

Construction is scheduled to be finished on Jan. 11, 2013.

Beyler Consulting is the civil engineer and Christian Fynboe is the structural engineer.

Subcontractors are Plats Construction Perfected (earthwork/utilities), Tradesmen Electric, AFP Systems (sprinklers) and Panelized Structures (roof structure).

Sierra’s team is led by senior project manager Kirk MacGowan, project manager Dan Peck and superintendent Keith Liebhauser.
