Tarragon started construction in January on a 154-unit apartment building at 443 Ramsay Way in Kent.
It is the final phase of Kent Station, a transit-oriented, mixed-use project intended to revitalize downtown Kent.
BCRA designed the five-story project and Sierra Construction Co. is building it.
Also on the team are Coughlin Porter Lundeen, civil engineer; Yu & Trochalakis, structural engineer; Thomas Rengstorf and Associates, landscape architect; and subcontractors Peltram Plumbing, Emerald Aire, Boone Electric and Patriot Fire Protection.
It is being constructed to Built Green standards, and should be done in May 2016.
There will be a 154-stall parking level below the units, which will be studios and one- and two-bedrooms ranging from 448 to 1,156 square feet.
The complex will have a lounge, fitness center, dog run, courtyards, Bocce court, outdoor fireplace, eating and dining areas, and a surface lot for 10 cars.
A rooftop space will have a barbecue, covered kitchen area, entertainment space, fire pit and community garden plots.
Tarragon said the apartments will be walking distance to retail and the Sound Transit station.
Tarragon has developed Kent Station, with more than 300,000 square feet of retail and educational space anchored by AMC theater and the Kent campus of Green River College.
