Employee Spotlight: Evan Heeringa

Heeringa

Evan joined the Sierra team in 2013 as a Project Engineer. A diehard Coug, Evan did grow up watching his dad work in the engineering field of construction. It was time spent at an internship at Sierra that sold him on his career path. “I had no set intention of being a contractor or engineer but I spent one summer on the thinking end of a shovel and decided to pursue the CM program at WSU. Coming back to Sierra after graduation was a no-brainer” His first project was a MOD Pizza remodel in Bellevue. “It was fun to work with the one and only Bob Graff. We worked around the clock to do a facelift of the space in a week and it turned out great.” Over the years Evan has completed a wide variety of projects, including small-scale retail remodels, tilt up distribution centers and multi-family apartment buildings. He is currently working in Redmond on the Blackbird Apartments project.
