Spotlight: Scott Mathis

Scott-Mathis-Square

Scott is a Superintendent here at Sierra. He came to Sierra in 1995 as a Carpenter, and has since worked his way to Superintendent. Over the years he has worked on projects of all types, but his favorite project was the Sammamish Library. “I love building and being able to see what was accomplished at the end of the day. There’s no such thing as a typical day, especially in the multifamily world.”

What did you do for work before Sierra? Dairy farming and cabinet making.

How do you spend your weekends? Farming, remodeling and spending time with my family.

Least favorite fruit or vegetable? I can’t stand mushrooms (why would anyone knowingly eat fungus). I pick the little ones from cream of mushroom soup out of casseroles.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be? The power to heal

What is your dream vacation? Ireland
