New Hire: Meghan McIntyre

McIntyre-Meghan

Join me in welcoming HR Coordinator, Meghan McIntyre!

Born in Orange, California (yes it is a place!) Meghan grew up in California and Virginia. As far as education and work experience, Meghan has had a diverse background! She graduated from Coastal Carolina University (South Carolina!) with a degree in Marine Science; but decided not to pursue it further. Instead life brought her here to the Pacific Northwest with now husband. She found a niche in human resources and has worked in the Seattle area for 10 years in customer service and people management.

"As part of my long commute in and out of Seattle, battling the mean streets of I-5, I have had an opportunity to watch the progress of the Mountlake Terrace project. I also live near the Woodinville area and was able to watch the progress of the new office being built. My father was a carpenter growing up, and my husband works for a bank that funds residential construction projects in the Puget Sound so I have some familiarity with the industry and it’s just amazing how many moving parts there are when it comes to starting and completing a project. Being familiar with the Sierra name helped during my job search, so once I saw an available opening, I jumped on the chance to join the Sierra team."

How do you spend your weekends?
I usually enjoy reading a good book, or heading out the movies. But I now have a 9 month old who is on the move, so lazy weekends and free time are a thing of the past!

What is your favorite fruit?
I love strawberries! But I hate raspberries because of the seeds. People tell me I’m crazy because strawberries have little seeds too, but they’re crazy because the seeds are not the same!

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I LOVE CEREAL!!! Lucky Charms, Cap’N Crunch, Life, Honey Nut Cheerios, you name it, I’ll eat it!

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I would like to be able to teleport. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to pop in anywhere in the world in seconds??

What are your most overused words or phrases?
Rosé all day, okie dokie

Halloween-2018

Yep, that's Halloween last year at Triplehorn, with husband as Bob Ross painting Happy Little Trees on Meghan!
