New Hire: Jason Nix

Nix-Jason-1

Please welcome Sierra's newest Project Manager, Jason Nix! From the deep south, Jason grew up in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A graduate of Tulane University in Louisiana, he left with a double major in Political Science and History. In his free time he likes to do just about anything productive, or try new things. "Not sure about a favorite – running, hiking/snowshoeing (always with the dogs in tow), house projects, building furniture, cooking, and always looking for something new to get into."

Jason had quite the variety of activities growing up. "My original major in college was Theater; after a knee injury ended my football career in high school, I got involved in the drama dept. and decided I wanted to pursue it. Eventually I came to my senses, obviously."

If you weren't in construction, what would you be doing?
Probably starting, or practicing law.

Why Sierra?
Reputation, culture, attentive leadership, tenured employees, and the opportunity to take on a different product type.

What kind of food can't you resist?
Barbeque, but it has to be done right.

Anything else to share?
I’ve never owned a home built after WWII, and probably never will.
