New Hire: Denise Galano

Galano New Hire

Please welcome Denise Galano to the Sierra family!

She was born in the Philippines, and grew up in Kahului, Hawaii - which is also her favorite vacation spot!

We first met Denise at the Washington State University career fair, where she was pursuing a degree in Architectural Studies. "Before entering into my last year of college, I was a Project Designer intern in Kahului, Hawaii. I realized that I wanted to take part of the building process and what goes on behind constructing a building. Being part of the construction industry allows myself to learn and enhance my knowledge with the different types of building systems. Being part of the industry offers on-site experience in which allows myself to see drawings and ideas become a structure."

What is the best advice you have ever received?
To be patient with all the life obstacles that you will come across with because they are preparing you for something bigger in life.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you?
Something that I truly enjoy would be powerlifting and lifting heavy weights in general.

What is your favorite pastime?
Some of my favorite pastime would be spending my time at the gym and going to plant shops to learn more about the different indoor plants.
