Sierra Construction Co. last month started the 136,300-square-foot Building 27 at 4625 100th St. S.W. in the Lakewood Industrial Park.

The shell building will face 100th Street with five storefront entries accented with steel channel canopies. It will have more glass than typical warehouses due to its proximity to the main road. Significant underground utility rerouting will alllow the building to maximize square footage to site area.

Woodinville-based Sierra expects to have the speculative building finished in February 2015 for the owner, Northwest Building LLC.

Lakewood Industrial Park is a mixture of new concrete tilt-up buildings and old Navy buildings.

The Building 27 team in Innova Architects, architect, structural and civil engineer; E3RA, geotechnical engineer; Beyler Consulting, surveyor; and Neil Walter Co., leasing broker.

Subcontractors are: Pivetta Brothers Construction (earthwork and utilities), Kirby Electric, Patriot Fire Protection, State Mechanical (plumbing), Weatherguard (roofing), Exterior Metals (sheet metal), Cascade Door & Hardware, and CalPortland Co. (concrete).

Sierra’s team is led by senior account manager/project manager Kirk MacGowan, project engineer Jon Evatt and superintendent Brad Maddox.
