Project Description
In 2017, Sierra completed a tenant improvement project for Amerisource Bergen within the 352,191 spec-built Building 3B in the Des Moines Creek Business Park.
Building 3B was constructed with a 7” reinforced slab and load baskets, a 36’ clear height after the first column line, and 12,838 square feet of concrete mezzanines. Project scope included a 13,240 square foot office build-out, 46,819 square feet of platform mezzanines.
The pharmaceutical company had a few unique features within the project's scope. A 7,000 square foot concrete narcotics storage vault inside of the building consisted of an 8” recessed concrete slab with #4 rebar at 6” on-center each-way, was meticulously inspected by the D.E.A. prior to the concrete pour. The vault itself consists of 25’ tall, 4” thick precast concrete tilt panels, with a 5” thick precast concrete lid. Additional storage spaces included a 1,240 square foot flammable storage room, as well as cold storage. The entire warehouse was fully conditioned to 68° with 2° tolerance, and featured smooth finish R-19 Rigid Thermax insulation.
