Employee Spotlight: Dan Windon

Windon, Dan

Dan Windon became a part of the team as a Carpenter in 2004. Before starting at Sierra, Dan worked as a wood framer, concrete finisher and carpenter with experience on tilt-ups – so he fit right in here at Sierra! Through the years he has made his way through the ranks and is now a Project Superintendent. Dan’s portfolio here includes projects of every type, but his biggest accomplishments have been Sierra’s largest projects to date; Structural Superintendent at Amazon BFI4 and Project Superintendent at Amazon Troutdale.

What was it like visiting your first jobsite?

It was a tilt-up 10 minutes from my house. I had done tilt-ups prior to working for Sierra but I automatically new Sierra was a good company and a great group of people. I just wanted to work as hard as possible and make myself worthy to keep.

Why the construction industry?

Because it pays the bills and my last name isn’t Kardashian.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you?

I second youngest out of my Mother and Father’s 10 kids.
