New Hire: Ron Rollins

Rollins New Hire

Please welcome Ron Rollins - Sierra's Health, Safety and Environmental Manager!

Ron brings over 25 years of experience in the Health, Safety and Environmental management role. Prior to that, he had in-field experience as an industrial concrete Foreman for bridges, foundations and sound walls.

"I have known of Sierra since the early 90's via an old neighbor who worked here. And I have known one co-worker here for a good 15+ years who speaks very highly of the company and recommended I look into it. I come from a long line of "builders," be it buildings, boats, houses or industrial. I love every aspect of building, from the first cut in the soil, to turning the keys over to the proud new owners. I love to do the classic Dad thing, and every time we pass a project I was a part of....I will say 'I helped with that back in 1999!' "

How do you spend your free time?
My favorite hobbies are fishing, crabbing, and shrimping. If I am not actively fishing, I will be in the garage working on restoring a race inspired 1965 Ford Falcon, or at a dog show. We like to show Dogs, currently we are showing a 2 year old Doberman pincher named Otto.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
The ability to forecast fish runs.

What can't you resist?
Chocolate of any sort.

Top three life highlights:
- Getting married (closing in on 30 years)
- Having our son Trevor
- Building our own house together

Best book you have ever read?
"Atlas Shrugged" a 1957 Novel by Ayn Rand.

Welcome Ron!
