Sierra Construction last month started demolition and expansion of Titus-Will Ford’s service shop at 3606 S. Sprague Ave. in Tacoma.

The expansion will create 8,100 square feet of space for six truck repair bays, a car wash and tool storage. Crews are using masonry for the structural walls, and steel joists and decking.

Sierra is expanding the site to the west by paving an additional 25 parking stalls.

Construction should be finished in early July.

Helix Design Group is the architect. The engineers are Swenson Say Faget (strutural), Barghausen Consulting Engineers (civil) and Hultz BHU Engineers (mechanical, electrical and plumbing).

The Sierra team is senior account manager David Buckholtz, project manager Dan Peck, project engineer Ron St. Jean and superintendent Bob Graff.

Titus-Will is looking at a second phase of work that involves a remodel of the dealership and showroom. Construction is scheduled to begin in early April and finish in the first quarter of 2015.
