Project Description

This14,409 square foot Walgreens store with a drive thru pharmacy was constructed at the intersection of Edmonds Way & 100th Ave W in Edmonds, WA. The building construction consisted of a structural steel core, structural brick exterior walls and stucco finish at the 23’ high storefront entries. Additional features included steel canopies and aluminum composite panels on the exterior and polished concrete floors throughout the interior sales area. Site improvements included new asphalt, landscaping, rain gardens and sidewalk improvements along Edmonds Way. A 6,800 square foot soil nail wall was also constructed along the length of the property, 30’ at its highest point. It ties into an already existing retaining wall on the site. The project began in May, 2013 and was completed in December.

This Edmonds location was one of five Walgreens built by Sierra, including Maple Valley, Auburn, Bellingham, and Sherwood, Oregon.
