Breaking ground in November of 2016, the Linden Flats apartment building was completed June of 2018. The owner of the project, GMD Development, specializes in affordable housing and this project falls into that category.
Located in North Seattle just East of Bitter Lake, the newly constructed seven-story Linden Flats apartment building has 170 affordable units. Income-qualified residents can experience an amenity rich, modern community close to community transit, minutes to Seattle.
Linden Flats offers 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. Each unit features large, energy efficient windows, in-unit washer and dryer, radiant heating, modern cabinets and quartz countertops. Carpeted bedrooms and wide plank wood vinyl flooring finish off units with a cosmopolitan style.
Amenities include a game room, community room, bike storage room, garage parking, on-site storage and fitness center. The building’s C-shaped structure surrounds the outdoor central courtyard which includes gas BBQ grills, outdoor dining, lounge area with fire pit, and a turf lawn for year-round use. A pet friendly apartment building, Linden Flats also offers a wash room for pets and bicycles alike.
Unique features to the building itself include a solar-thermal preheating system for domestic water. Additionally, Linden Flats also utilizes a photo-voltaic system for common amenity power consumption.
This project broke ground October of 2016, and was completed June, 2018.
