Shoreline college expands automotive training


Shoreline Community College on Tuesday cut the ribbon on its $4.2 million Professional Automotive Training Center expansion. The project added 26,000 square feet to the 32,000-square-foot center at J6101 Greenwood Ave. N. in Shoreline. The additional space allows for a corporate center for Toyota, and dedicated training spaces with vehicle lifts and classrooms for Hyundai, Volvo, Hunter, Snap-on and others. KCLS Ready To Start Kenmore Library


The King County Library System is breaking ground Tuesday on its $10.49 million Kenmore Library. The 9,500 square-foot branch is being built by Sierra Construction at 6531 N.E. 181st St., about a half-mile from the existing library. The new building will be made of brick and structural steel, with a below grade garage containing 19 parking stalls and mechanical and electrical systems.
