Walgreens under construction in Edmonds

Sierra Construction last month started building a 14,400-square-foot Walgreens store with a drive-thru pharmacy at Edmonds Way and 100th Avenue West in Edmonds.
When finished in December, the building will have a structural steel core, structural brick exterior walls and a stucco finish at the 23-foot-high storefront entry. Additional elements will include steel canopies and aluminum composite panels on the exterior and polished concrete floors inside.
The site is being improved with new asphalt, landscaping, rain gardens and sidewalks along Edmonds Way. A 6,800-square-foot soil-nail wall will also be constructed along the length of the property. It will be 30 feet at its highest point and tie into an existing retaining wall.
Seven Hills Properties 25 LLC is the developer. The design team is Baysinger Partners Architecture, CT Engineering (structural) and Afghan Associates (civil).
Subcontractors are DMI (soil-nail wall), Sinder Electric, Metro Air (HVAC), Lakeridge Plumbing, and R&D Masonry. Sierra’s team is led by senior account manager Andy Bley, project manager Travis Torgerson and superintendent John Dahlman.
