Project Description

The Federal Express Expansion project involved construction of 35,000 sf of warehouse/distribution center and 16,000 sf of interior office expansion and remodel. To add to the many challenges of airport construction, this facility remained in full operation throughout our involvement at the site. Complex sort systems and equipment were installed throughout the building to meet requirements of this Fed Ex sort hub. The 48″ water main and meter for the entire Seatac Airport was replaced and updated inside a new cast-in-place concrete vault. A new concrete taxiway, blast fences, tethers and W.A.S.P. equipment were constructed and coordinated to meet the Airfield Operation Requirements of Federal Express.
