Stryker Phase 1 and Project Granite Recognized for Excellence in Concrete Construction

During the recent 2015 Excellence in Concrete Awards Banquet, Sierra was recognized as a contributor to both Project Granite and Stryker Phase 1. Both projects were finalists in the tilt-up structures category, and Stryker Phase 1 earned the grand award in this category.

Congratulations to Teutsch Partners and Sierra Construction on their Grand Award at the 2015 Golden Nugget Awards!

Tarragon finishes Sumner warehouse

Sierra Construction Co. has finished Building A in Tarragon’s Salmon Creek Corporate Park at 3901 150th Ave Court E. in Sumner.

Building A is the first of two buildings that Tarragon is developing on the 18-acre site. A Tarragon news release says Building B’s site is preloaded, building permits are in hand, and construction could start this summer on that 132,400-square foot warehouse.

Last phase of Kent Station: 154 apartments

Tarragon started construction in January on a 154-unit apartment building at 443 Ramsay Way in Kent.

It is the final phase of Kent Station, a transit-oriented, mixed-use project intended to revitalize downtown Kent.

BCRA designed the five-story project and Sierra Construction Co. is building it.

Sierra tilts Sumner warehouse

Sierra Construction Co. recently tilted concrete panels for Panattoni Development’s Tamarack Distribution Center at 1607 136th Ave. E. in Sumner.

The 159,250-square-foot building is expected to be finished in April. It will have a 30-foot clear height, hybrid roof, concrete truck aprons, two office nodes and steel canopies over entryways.

Tarragon expects to finish Building A later this month and start Building B by next summer at its two-building Samon Creek Corporate Park in Sumner. The site is at 3901 150th Ave. Court E.

Panattoni starts Everett business center

Panattoni Development Co. recently started the first phase of PowderMill Business Center on 36th Avenue, north of the Boeing Everett Plant.

Sierra Construction Co. is building two Class A industrial buildings totaling 227,000 square feet in the initial phase and expects to finish next March.

One building will be 102,500 square feet and the other 116,300 square feet. Both will be concrete tilt-ups with 30-foot clear heights.

MetLIfe teaming up with Panattoni on $63M warehouse developments

Insurance giant MetLife said it and Panattoni Development Co. are investing nearly $63 million in three new industrial parks totaling more than 900,000 square feet. One is Des Moines Creek Business Park south of Sea-Tac Airport and the others are in Sumner.

MetLife will be the majority owner and Panattoni will be managing minority partner, according to a news release from New York City-based MetLife.

The first phase of Northwest Logistics Center will be finished this year.
Nick Griot was a broker at CBRE for about four years after college when a big opportunity surfaced to develop some land his family owns in DuPont.

Another building goes up at Lakewood Industrial Park

Sierra Construction Co. last month started the 136,300-square-foot Building 27 at 4625 100th St. S.W. in the Lakewood Industrial Park.

The shell building will face 100th Street with five storefront entries accented with steel channel canopies. It will have more glass than typical warehouses due to its proximity to the main road. Significant underground utility rerouting will alllow the building to maximize square footage to site area.
