Sierra Construction Begins New Lakewood Ford Dealership
Located between Pacific Highway SW and I-5, just north of 47th Avenue in Lakewood, the new Lakewood Ford Dealership broke ground on October 10th and is underway.
The 63,000-square-foot building sits on a 6-acre site, and will include a complete showroom, service facility, and retail and wholesale parts area. The building exterior will feature glass and metal panels highlighting the showroom area, with 2-color schemed structural CMU walls for the balance of the building. The large service bay includes 30 stations, with in-ground and above-ground lifts, quick-lube stations, and radiant heat. Many of the stations are sized for the larger trucks which are sold at this location.
The showroom is appointed with tiled floors, aluminum storefront walls at interior offices, and light maple woodwork. The building will house a large parts storage area for both retail parts sales as well as a sizeable wholesale parts distribution network.
Flat-screen televisions will be added in the waiting area, with wired and wireless Internet access in the business lounge.
This dealership will be constructed in conjunction with and across the street from Sound Transit’s new facility, as well as the City of Lakewood’s street and frontage improvements for both Pacific Hwy and 47th Avenue.
The project will break ground in early October and is expected to be complete Summer 2007.
The project team includes Owner Titus-Will Investments LLC, Helix Design Group Architects, Barghausen Consulting Engineers, and PCS Structural Solutions. Sierra Construction’s team includes Project Manager Jim Riley and Superintendent Bob Carrasco. Early subcontractor support includes Fox Electric, Merit Mechanical, Patriot Fire Protection and Tucci & Sons.
