LOWE’S NOW IN BELLINGHAM!
Sierra Construction is the general contractor on the bright, new
165,000 square foot Lowe’s Home Improvement Store set to open
in August on Sunset drive. Contractors are busily putting the finishing
touches on in-store fixtures, getting ready for the opening day
crush.
Chris Ahern, spokesperson for Lowe’s, hopes Bellingham residents
will come to enjoy what others already know about their store.
“Our stores are designed to make shopping easy,” Ahern
said. They feature uncluttered displays, large, wide aisles, and
easily read, prominently posted signs.
“We want to make it easy for customers who come for a specific
item to get in and get out,” she said. “But we also
want to make it inviting for customers looking for new ideas.”
To that end, Lowe’s will have a series of vignettes, illustrating
new ideas and techniques for home projects.
Lowe’s is the exclusive supplier of some top name brands
in home improvement, including Husqvarna power tools, Jenn Air stainless
steel outdoor grills, Cub Cadet lawn tractors, and Jackson &
Perkins roses. Lowe’s will also carry Weyerhaeuser’s
ChoiceDek composite lumber. Ahern said this new material is ideal
for wetter climates or places with wood pest problems.
“It ages like wood, but it’s maintenance free,”
she said.
