More retail goes up in Lynnwood
Sierra Construction of Woodinville last year completed phase one of the Alderwood Parkway Retail Center at 19220 Alderwood Mall Parkway in Lynnwood.
The 30,000 square foot retail building is made up of CMU block, structural steel, steel joists and metal decking. The exterior skin includes CMU block, brick, composite metal panels, tile, storefront windows and steel awnings.
Construction challenges included the steep site, the nearby Interstate 5 right of way and erosion control for a stream running through the site.
Tenants include Video Only, Fitness Outlet, International Jewelers, and Big and Tall. A second phase could include a five- or six-story office building with underground parking.
The owner is Alderwood Parkway, LLC. CDA Architects of Bellevue was the designer.
Major subcontractors included: Donovan Excavating, Green River Construction, Shamrock Landscaping, Lakeridge Paving, Stripe Rite, Quality Fence Co., Corona Steel, CT Sales, Rinker Materials, K Kenny Construction, Stanley Roofing, Emerald Glass and Merit Mechanical.
Sierra’s project manager was John Barnes and its superintendent was Allan Beattie.
