Last Thursday held Oregon's DJC TopProjects awards event at the Oregon Convention Center- and Amazon Troutdale was named 2nd Place Winner in the Industrial Development of the Year category. Crews at Blackbird Apartments recently removed the tower crane, in preparation of the final stretch towards completion. Framing was completed in April and the building is nearly tight to the weather. Concrete decks were poured within the lower hotel units and metal framing within the lower levels is in progress. Project teams began the first tilt for Troutdale Lot 10 this week. In total, there will be 111 wall tilt-panels and 12 dock/trash enclosure panels. This week includes picking 94 during the first tilt, and the remaining 29 on the second mobilization in June. Structural steel and roof structure are to follow the conclusion of the final tilt. First Glacier Logistics Center has been completed. Work began on First Glacier Logistics in October 2018. Built with a total of 55 tilt panels, limited slab space resulted in two separate tilts to successfully close the building exterior. This new distribution facility totals 66,000 square feet, with a 30’ clear height and sits on a 3.8 acre site. Bridge Point Kent 100 is being built on a 4.7-acre site it acquired last month for almost $5 million. The new building, at 26524 79th Ave. S., will have 97,500 square feet, with 30-foot clear heights, and 14 dock-high and two grade-level doors. Last week, field crews at Northwest Logistics Center completed the panel erection for Building #2, a 628,000 square foot speculative distribution building for Panattoni in DuPont, WA. Sierra's tilt crew and NessCampbell tilted the final 80 panels in under three work days. Sierra broke ground last fall on a speculative 628,640 square foot distribution building. This is the second building in the Northwest Logistics Center which is located in DuPont, WA. Amazon Troutdale (previously known as Project Piper) is a 857,470 square foot distribution center on a 74 acre site in the Reynolds Industrial Park of Troutdale, Oregon. The project broke ground in the spring of 2017 and was completed last fall. Amazon Troutdale was built with over 11,000 tons of structural steel and 63,000 cubic yards of concrete. IPT Tualatin has been completed. This project included the new construction of a 157,230 square foot speculative manufacturing building on a 9 acre site along the north side of SW Tualatin-Sherwood Rd. The concrete tilt-up building has a 32’ clear height and has 40 overhead doors; 36 dock and 4 at-grade. The building is set up to handle up to four tenants. The completed project has 158 parking spaces.
December 27, 2018 Glacier Peak at Riverside Business Park tilted last week. The entire project includes 112 panels with 4 sheer panels. The completed building will be a 204,498 square foot distribution warehouse located along the Snohomish River in Everett with exposure to I-5. The Glacier Peak will have a 30′ clear height, 130′ concrete truck apron, 38 dock high doors, and 4 drive-in doors. Ballard's West Woodland Business Center is taking shape. The project team has completed concrete pours on each floor and has begun framing on the 4th floor. Interbay is a four story self-storage in the Interbay district of Seattle. The 94,000 square foot building was constructed using a hybrid method that utilized both concrete tilt-up and structural steel. It’s smaller in footprint and value compared to some of Sierra’s other projects but has a complex design and was a challenging to build. Located in Lacey, Washington, the Hogum Bay Logistics Center is a new construction state-of-the-art industrial development. In total, this development contains three buildings totaling 1.1 million square feet. This phase of the project includes the construction of Buildings 4 (144,000 square feet) and Building 5 (155,000 square feet). Both buildings will have a 32’ clear height and 130’ truck courts.
